The Tween Years
The Tween Years is about a man named Bob Ballou developing the Pacific Crest Trails (PCT) organization. He took the love of hiking and trail , using his skills as a non-profit fundraising consultant. During Bobs years of research he found other volunteers that shared the same vision and desire to grow the PCT organization. Bob applied his skills stemmed from thirty-one year career to harness and direct their energy to make the PCT a success. Three Facts The PCT increased their membership from 800-5,000 in five years. The Appalachian trail conference gave them resources and ideas to better the organization By 1997 they saw their hard work starting to pay off. Interesting Facts There are a lot of people involved in hiking and trailing The PCT developed the Jane and Flicka memorial fund for a couple who were killed by a motorist while running the trail.
