Meal time is important because it gives you the opportunity to spend time with your family. Meal time gives you a chance to become closer with your family. Your family will get a chance to reconnect and enjoy each other’s company. When you are having a bad day being able to talk to your family might just be what you need to help you feel better. I really enjoy meal time because my family always brings up funny, cool, and interesting stories from the past. I really enjoy those times because those moments with my family are going to live with me forever and I can always look back on them and laugh. Meal times are very important because not everyday is promised and those moments that you spend with your family uninterrupted is priceless and those are the moments that need to be cherished.

My week off of school was great. I got a chance to go to a few parades, see family members and old friends. I really enjoyed my break and I’m not ready to go back to school just yet but there is still a lot of learning that needs to be done.

Grant feels a certain way about Jefferson’s case. He feels as though it is unfair how white men have convicted Jefferson and set his date to die. It seems like Grant has a problem with a man setting the date for another man to die.  Grant is not really sure if he can agree with theses methods and this might be where he finally figures out how to help Jefferson.

Grant is ready for a change in his town. He is becoming very irritated and allowing his emotions to get the best of him. I think that Grant is the one who really needs to open up to someone to help with all of his bottled up emotions. If he continues to go this way then eventually he is going to explode.

Miss Emma and Tante Lou are finally able to get Jefferson in the day room. He doesn’t want to be there the keep trying to make an effort with him but he’s just not budging. I think that Jefferson just wants to die in peace and be left alone.

Grant is starting to become overwhelmed with the Jefferson situation because he doesn’t know what to do. Jefferson is making his situation more complicated instead of just opening up and telling his family how he really feels and how he doesn’t want to be bothered. They are trying really hard to help him but he is not making it easy. This situation is causing unnecessary friction between people.
