First Quarter

 First quarter  in AP Lit was okay. I could have done better. I need to work on my writing. I still need a lot of practice but it is a learning process. Next quarter I intend to excel.

     The Tween Years is about a man named Bob Ballou developing the Pacific Crest Trails (PCT) organization. He took the love of hiking and trail , using his skills as a non-profit fundraising consultant. During Bobs years of research he found other volunteers that shared the same vision and desire to grow the PCT organization. Bob applied his skills stemmed from thirty-one year career to harness and direct their energy to make the PCT a success.             Three Facts         The PCT increased their membership from 800-5,000 in five years. Chapter 8

It is now winter time and Grant just received wood for his class and it makes him think back on when he was in school. He remembers his teacher Mr. Antoine who Grant said was a beat up bitter old man who hated to teach.  Grant said that when he visited  Mr. Antoine would say that there is only one option for blacks in the south and that’s to run. He’s referring to how bad blacks would be treated back then and the only way to escape the torture was if you would run. The thing is you would never really get away from it because there will always be a certain group of people that won’t understand that blacks are  just as human as anyone else and skin color shouldn’t change how someone should be treated.
